Choose Your Username
Your username is unique and visible in the feed. Follow these rules to make it valid and safe. It's not that complicated, we promise!
Username Rules
- Can be changed every two weeks.
- Must be 4–23 characters long.
- Must start with a letter or number.
- Allowed characters: letters (A–Z), numbers (0–9), single spaces, periods (cannot be at the end), and underscores (can be at the end).
- No consecutive spaces, periods, or underscores. Special characters must connect to at least one letter or number.
- Username must be unique after removing spaces and periods. Underscores remain significant.
Examples of valid usernames:
- BobVance
- Dr. Mike
- Cool_Guy_123
- User_
Examples of invalid usernames:
- _Bob (starts with a special character)
- Bob. (ends with a period)
- Bo (too short)
- Bob__Vance (consecutive underscores)
- Bob Vance (consecutive spaces)
- Bob Vance (already taken if 'Bob.Vance' exists)
Tips and tricks
- Use underscores to get a unique username while keeping your preferred name.
- Spaces and periods are mainly for visual appearance and don’t affect uniqueness.
